9kt gold engagement rings

Choosing between 9kt, 14kt and 18kt gold is one of the most common questions we get, and it depends on what matters most to you.

9kt gold is 37.5% pure gold. The rest is a mix of copper, silver, and zinc — metals that make it harder and more resistant to daily wear than higher-karat golds. If your partner is active with their hands or simply wants a ring they don't have to think about, 9kt is often the right call. The higher alloy content also means the ring holds its shape well over years of regular use.

In terms of color, 9kt yellow gold is slightly lighter than 18kt — there is a visible difference if you put them side by side, though most wouldn't notice it day to day. In white and rose gold, the tone difference is less apparent.

Azarai's 9kt gold collection covers yellow, white and rose gold across solitaires, halo rings, pavé settings and vintage-inspired designs. The range is broad, with options across most of the styles available in other metals too.
